An Adventure in Borneo
To make our 30th wedding anniversary memorable, we decided to go on a touring holiday of the Sabah region of Borneo, so on the 24th May 2002 we set off from Heathrow airport.
We visited Sandakan and saw the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, then went to Sukau and stayed at a riverside lodge and went on a river boat trip on the Kinabatangan River home of the proboscis monkey. Next day we went on to Mount Kinabalu and stayed two nights at the foot of this spectacular mountain and finally we spent the remaining four days in Kota Kinabalu before returning home.
